From Saturday 4th to Saturday 11th of February 2017, a group of Cardinal Griffin students visited Italy on a ski trip. Alice interviewed Ellie, who went on the ski trip and enjoyed it greatly.
A.What is your favourite memory from the ski trip?
E.My favourite memory from the ski trip was when we visited the ski park; we learnt to do jumps, which was really fun.
A.When packing, what were three of your ski trip essentials?
E.Three essentials when packing were face masks, thermals and ski boots.
A.How did you physically prepare before the trip e.g. lessons?
E.To prepare, I visited the Snowdome with Becky; we also went to a dry ski slope.
A.Where did you stay, and what was the nicest thing about the location?
E.We stayed in Hotel Stella d’Italia. It was really nice because we were in the centre of a pretty, local town with some nice shops.
A.What did you do while there, apart from skiing?
E.We went to an ice cream parlour, and cinema (we watched ‘Men in Black 2’) and around the town.
A.What was the most challenging aspect of the rip?
E.The most challenging aspect of the trip was skiing down a black slope on the last day, because I had to stay concentrated on using all of the new skills I had learnt.
A.How was the food?
E.The food was decent.
A.Describe the sensation you felt while skiing in three words.
E.Exhilarating, crazy and tiring.
A.Would you go again or recommend a friend to go?
E.Yes, I would definitely go again and recommend it to a friend.
